**Job Title: NDI Technician (Iwakuni, Japan)**
**Job Description**
As an NDI Technician, you will inspect aerospace weapon systems components and support equipment for structural integrity using nondestructive inspection methods. You will interpret test results, provide defect information to repair centers, and perform inspections on structures, components, and systems. Your role will also involve detecting flaws such as cracks, de-laminations, voids, processing defects, and heat damage using various test equipment, operating and maintaining nondestructive equipment, and performing quality and safety inspections.
**Responsibilities**
+ Inspect aerospace weapon systems components and support equipment for structural integrity using nondestructive inspection methods.
+ Interpret nondestructive inspection test results and provide information about defects to repair centers.
+ Perform nondestructive inspection on structures, components, and systems.
+ Detect flaws such as cracks, de-laminations, voids, processing defects, and heat damage using penetrant, eddy current, magnetic particle, radiographic, optical, and ultrasonic test equipment.
+ Operate, maintain, and inspect nondestructive equipment.
+ Perform operator maintenance and service inspections on shop equipment and tools.
+ Perform quality technical inspection of vehicles, equipment, aircraft, aircraft components, parts, repairs, and systems.
+ Perform quality and safety inspections of on-site equipment and tools used in aircraft maintenance, vehicles, and equipment.
+ Perform in-progress and final quality technical inspections during maintenance, repair, modification, rework, and overhaul of aircraft, aircraft components, and component parts.
+ Inspect job procedural forms and maintenance forms to assure compliance with approved methods and procedures.
+ Assist in the preparation, processing, and answering of Quality Deficiency Reports (QDRs).
+ Assist in aircraft accident investigations and assist Company Safety Officers when required.
+ Prepare estimated cost of damage reports as required.
+ May perform X-ray technician functions in the absence of the X-ray technician.
+ Perform prescribed cleaning, preservation, and operator maintenance on vehicles, tools, and equipment.
+ Perform housekeeping duties in the immediate work area.
**Essential Skills**
+ Current secret clearance
+ Military NDT Experience - Eddy Current is a must-have
+ 1+ years experience on fixed-wing aircraft
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Marines Experience preferred

**Work Environment**
Work will be conducted at Marine Corp. Air Station in Iwakuni, Japan. The standard workweek is 40 hours, with day shifts starting at 0730 and night shifts starting at 1530. The role offers a 1-year base period with 2 option years.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $77022.00 - $80974.00/yr.

- $8,500 relocation bonus paid out on first payroll
- $5,000 sign on bonus after 90 days of employment
- If traveling from outside of Japan, your initial travel lodging and flight cost are paid for a solo traveler for hire.
- 14 Days of initial housing is provided
- 11 Paid Holidays + 5 Paid Floating Holidays
- Able to participate in the company's retirement plan following 90 days of service in accordance with company policy.
- One solo employee annual round trip fare back to the United States following six months of employment. Travel is in accordance with S&K travel policy and arranged through your upline and must be preapproved. Use of accrued PTO is allowable to cover the absence, not to exceed two weeks.
