Reporting Relationship: Reports directly to Area Manager, NDT
Location: Mentor, OH
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and may be substituted by experience.
Personal Characteristics: Able to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/ quantity. Able to work flexible hours with a history of dependability as demonstrated with strong attendance record. Comfortable using a team approach to problem solving. Have strong sense of urgency. Individual must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.
Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in visual or grain inspection in IGT or Aircraft Investment Castings. Must be able to read and interpret customer specifications, and computer literate.
Principal Area of Responsibility: The NDT technicians a “hands on” position that has been created to provide shift support in the areas of quality and productivity improvement.
Specific Duties:
Provide training on fundamentals for manufacturing associates to improve workmanship and productivity.
Provide cross training to manufacturing associates to support development and improve throughput.
Identify opportunities for methods and documentation improvement and train manufacturing associates on new procedures.
Perform workmanship audits to verify training effectiveness and compliance to procedure.
Be a champion for scrap and rework related issues. Interface with manufacturing, quality and engineering as required to ensure implementation of effective solutions.
Assist with the administrative duties such as production schedule updates, time card review, and training documentation
Assist supervision in maintaining proper product flow through post cast areas.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.

Incumbent must physically and mentally perform the job demands as listed below.
The ability to handle high stress associated with high activity with tight deadlines.
Must be able to pass tri-annual grain/laue exam and an annual eye examination.
