**Job Title: NDT Technician 1**
**Job Description**
The NDT Technician will assemble and inspect a variety of different weldment parts and assemblies. Familiarity with weldment parts and assemblies is highly preferred.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform basic mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
+ Conduct leak tests.
+ Operate hand and power tools to complete assemblies.
+ Read and interpret work instructions to ensure accuracy of work performed.
+ Inspect weldment assemblies.
+ Interact with management and team members to encourage effective communication on the production floor.
+ Perform standard testing and minor troubleshooting.
+ Ensure quality standards are met throughout all steps of the assembly process.
+ Perform other duties as required.
+ Attendance is an essential duty of the position.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in assembly, mechanical, and hand tool operations.
+ Ability to inspect and assemble large, complex mechanical assemblies or subassemblies.
+ Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
+ Capability to read and interpret assembly instructions and blueprints.
+ Experience in semiconductor equipment assembly, production, and manufacturing.
+ Strong organizational skills and computer proficiency.
+ Skills in quality checks and use of micrometers.
+ Familiarity with parts lists, materials, and mechanical assembly.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Technician coursework or an Associate's Degree is a plus.
+ Cable and harness assembly experience is a plus.
+ Cleanroom experience is a plus.
+ Ability to handle large/heavy parts, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
+ Capability to work 10-12 hour shifts and weekend days as needed.
+ For Level II: Applied Materials assembly experience with full builds and the ability to describe the process in detail.
+ For Level I: Same skills as Level II, but without Applied Materials experience.

**Work Environment**
This position operates on a weekend shift: Thursday to Sunday, 3:30 PM to 1 AM. The role offers a pay rate of $19/hour plus a 10% differential for weekend shifts. The work environment is a climate-controlled manufacturing setting with work in cleanroom manufacturing, warehouse, and office environments. Most work is conducted within the manufacturing area. Employees must wear a full cleanroom suit (bunny suit/smock). The role involves frequent interruptions and requires the use of personal protective equipment where applicable. The employee will be subject to hazards including electrical currents, moving mechanical parts, and exposure to chemicals. The ability to talk on the phone and use a computer is required, and the environment may have various noise levels from manufacturing and office areas.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, Texas.
