Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Level II Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Inspector to join our team. This critical role involves independently performing inspections using various NDT techniques to identify corrosion, defects, and other detrimental conditions in accordance with technical data.

What You Will Do:

Performs non-nondestructive inspection (NDI) based on qualificationsPerforms cleaning and inspection of aircraft components according to customers specifications.Identifies structural and material defectsInterprets test resultsCompletes test reports, and presents findingsMaintains NDT equipmentMaintains proper segregation and identification of components in progress.Completes all required documentation in accordance with established procedures.Engages and supports the organization's Continuous Improvement activities.Demonstrate a continued interest in good housekeeping and safety practices.Be proficient in handling all the equipment that is applicable to completing the required job.Capable of interpreting and understanding part drawings and illustrated planning.Must be able to follow work instructions to ensure the proper processing of parts.Must have some basic computer skills.  Must be able properly wear and use Personal Protective Equipment relating to the job performed.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a HS diploma with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience is requiredMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Ability to set up and utilize calibrating testing equipment, conducting material tests, interpreting results, and generating reports on your findingsPrior experience in Aerospace is preferredStrong attention to detailAbility to write descriptive statements about noted conditions while performing inspections.Ability to articulate and understand verbal and written instructions.Possess the ability to evaluate and exercise sound judgment.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. 

The salary range for this role is $25.75 to $34.83; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
