**_What Will You Do?_**
**Main purpose of job**
1. To achieve North East Asia procurement targets in line with the annual operating plan (AOP) by working with the NEA regional operations team, regional sourcing hubs and relevant stake holders.
2. To lead and drive strategic cost reduction projects for both direct and indirect spends.
3. To Support localisation packaging projects in the NEA region.
4. Develop internal procurement process, procedures, templates etc.,.
5. To Procure project related sub-contracted, manufactured items within project budget, timeframes and to Howden Quality Standards within the nominated project stream.
6. Responsible for execution of project procurement strategies for New Built and Retrofit Value Stream directly dealing with suppliers, Placement of orders, expediting of orders with suppliers, negotiating with suppliers, receipting of final documentation.
7. Responsible for identifying saving ideas through alternative sourcing or value engineering
8. Assist & engage with Application/Engineering’s and relevant functions in tender stage to budgeting to required accuracy and selection of suppliers/product brands.
9. Prepare and Manage Request for Quotes Packages in order to find suitable suppliers that meet project budget, timeframe and Howden Quality Standards.
10. Analyse suppliers in order to select the most suitable suppliers who are able to deliver high quality products at competitive pricing.
11. Perform regular performance review with targeted suppliers to drive continuous improvements.

**_Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…_**
You work location will be in Taiwan
**_Your Experience Should Be..._**
+ 5+ years previous experience as a procurement engineer with demonstrated experience in gas handling and/or compression industry.
+ Previous experience in the Heavy Industrial Manufacturing Industry
+ Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
+ Good stakeholder management skills
+ Good organisational skills
+ Excellent negotiation skills
+ Good team player
+ A degree in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering
+ Ability to read engineering drawings.
+ Computer literate (Word and Excel, PowerPoint)
+ Ability to analyse bills of material and drawing to understand key requirements
+ Demonstrated knowledge of procurement and contract procedures and systems
+ Knowledge and direct demonstrated experience in negotiating contracts and quotations with contract manufacturers and suppliers
+ Previous experience in the Heavy Industrial Manufacturing Industry for Air & Gas handling Equipment knowledge of ISO and OHS standards
