We are seeking a NetBackup Architect for our growing Professional Services team. In this role you will be responsible for NetBackup analysis, architecture, installation and configuration of Symantec’s NetBackup product.
Must be a TECHNICAL EXPERT in the following areas:
* NetBackup (NBU) architecture (including compliance architectures) and functionality of all application components such as Master Servers, Media Servers, Clients, daemons, robotic control, etc.
* NetBackup installation and configuration
* Experience in modifying the NetBackup application to meet business requirements
* Splitting and merging NetBackup Catalogs
* Upgrading the NetBackup application
* Excellent NetBackup analytical and troubleshooting skills
* Strong hands-on practical experience and knowledge of SAN and NAS technologies (i.e. EMC, NetApp, etc)
* Strong knowledge of NetBackup command line commands
* Custom Scripting (i.e. Shell, PERL)
* Supportable philosophies on data protection best practices with an astute understanding of the product options available. You must be able to provide recommendations and support them to meet the Client’s business objectives.

* Veritas NetBackup Enterprise Implementation and light Design/Architecture
* Veritas Bare Metal Restore (BMR)
* Veritas Shared Storage Option (SSO)
* Veritas NetBackup Advanced Client
* Veritas Backup to Disk (B2D)
* Virtual Tape Libraries (VTL) Experience
* NetBackup PureDisk
* NetBackup 7.x, 6.x
* NetBackup Appliance 5xxx, MUST HAVE
