Please take this opportunity to join one of GDIT’s fastest long-standing growing programs!  US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES-X) is a cutting-edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team. 

Responsibilities:

Network Administration:

Analyze, administer, and maintain voice, video, and data communications networks.Ensure network performance meets Enterprise Service Availability and Service Level Agreement requirements.Identify, analyze, and resolve network incidents, escalating when necessary, according to IT Service Management (ITSM) principles.Maintain network security and compliance with DoD security policies and procedures.Manage network usage and performance while troubleshooting technical issues.Assist in the development of third-party monitoring actions and procedures for network infrastructure.Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues during outages or reduced network performance.

Training and Technical Guidance:

Provide network/equipment training and technical guidance to end-users and junior network personnel.Participate in special projects, including network expansions, hardware compatibility assessments, and procedure development.

Desktop Support:

Provide direct technical assistance to end-users, diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware/software issues.Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems and related equipment.Perform regular system updates and security patching.Respond to user-reported issues via IT support tickets, ensuring timely resolutions.

Additional Responsibilities:

Ensure all network-related equipment, including HAIPE-based encryption devices and VoIP/VTC collaboration systems, functions efficiently.Participate in the development and implementation of network-related standards and procedures.Must be able to travel to support site surveys, installation activities, and customer support.May required after hours support.

Required Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in network administration.2+ years of experience with end-user device management.BA/BS degree or additional years of experience in lieu of degree.CCNA certification within 6 months.Windows 11 certification or equivalent training.Must meet DoD 8750 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access.Experience with routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).Knowledge of Cisco IOS and hardware features.Knowledge of Windows 11 and workstation configurations.Familiarity with STIG patching, compliance, and security activities.Ability to manage a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.TS/ SCI cleared

Preferred:

Knowledge of data center networking, firewalls, and VoIP/VTC collaboration systems.Experience with virtualization technologies and multicast routing.Knowledge of network virtualization systems (VMware, Citrix, Microsoft).
