Summary: The Network Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of the organization's network infrastructure. This includes overseeing the day-to-day operations of the network environment, ensuring its reliability, performance, and security. This role requires a proactive approach to network management, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other IT professionals and various departmental teams. Network Design and Implementation: * Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN) * Configure and install software, servers, routers, and other network devices * Monitor network performance and integrity Maintenance and Troubleshooting: * Schedule updates and upgrades * Collaborate with network architects on network optimization * Troubleshoot and resolve network issues Security: * Implement and maintain security policies and procedures * Monitor network security breaches and respond to security incidents * Ensure data and network protection from internal and external threats Performance Monitoring: * Regularly monitor network performance to ensure system availability and reliability * Perform network diagnostics, analyze performance metrics, and report findings to management User Support and Training: * Provide technical support and guidance to users with respect to network infrastructure * Train team members on new hardware or software affecting the network Documentation: * Maintain complete technical documentation of the network and system configuration * Document incident resolutions and maintain logs of network maintenance activities * Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
