What You'll Do
In the role of Network Administrator, your duties will include:
Maintain, install, upgrade and configure data systems.
Administer operating systems and maintain basic security and recovery procedures such as scheduling and backups.
Perform assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field.
Display core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills.
Manage multiple IT vendors to ensure completion of IT projects in a timely manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Must be an Australian citizen
Must Possess an active AUS PV Clearance.
Minimum of an Associates degree in Computer Science or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Minimum of five years of directly related technical, professional experience required.
Requires knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP networking principals in a Microsoft Environment to include network topologies and transmission media
Possess a current Security+ Certification
Provides technical support for Microsoft Windows 2012/Win7 and Linux operating systems.
Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN troubleshooting.
Experience with IT support tools, ticketing systems, and remote desktop applications.
Experience in an enterprise IT environment or supporting large-scale systems.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills with the ability to plan and achieve a variety of tasks. Able to set priorities and deal with a number of issues and deadlines concurrently.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following security protocols.
Desired Qualifications:
Certifications in disciplines such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft certifications in Windows Server and Windows Client.
This role will be located in Alice Springs. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
