Susquehanna International Group (SIG) has a job opportunity for a Network Administrator at our Bala Cynwyd headquarters, just minutes from Center City Philadelphia. As a member of the Network Services team, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and providing support for the firm’s global enterprise network. You will actively collaborate with peers across technology and business teams to coordinate configuration changes, provide root-cause analysis, recommend network optimizations, and participate in firm wide projects including upgrading and implementing new hardware and software. You will have the opportunity to troubleshoot issues that could include local/wide area networks, OSI Layer 1-3, wireless networks and third-party vendor connections in a multi-vendor environment across multiple Data Center locations.

In this role, you will:
Provide first and second level support and tracking of all network connectivity issues including vendor escalationSupport network connectivity requirements for all client and server additions and relocations (moves, adds, and changes)Monitor and maintain existing network infrastructure with 3rd party and proprietary toolsConfigure and deploy network devices to adhere to existing standards and best practicesCollaborate with technology and business teams to identify root cause analysis and develop technical solutionsRecommend and implement processes to automate and optimize network infrastructureEnsure production documentation is accurate and up to dateWhat we're looking for
Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Networking, Engineering, or a related technical field required.Minimum of 1 year of LAN network support experience troubleshooting OSI Layer 1-3 problems in a co-op/internship/professional environment required; experience with network switching concepts strongly preferredMust exhibit a substantial knowledge of network hardware, local area networks, internet protocols, fiber and copper wiring standards, Ethernet, 802.1 standards, and wireless technologiesDemonstrated good decision making and problem solving skills requiredMust exhibit strong interpersonal and customer service skills in a team environmentAbility to lift 50lbs requiredMust be able to work off-shift and weekends as part of a 24x7 support rotationScripting experience with Python or Perl is a plus
