Position Overview

 

Pennoni is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Administrator to join our IT team in our Philadelphia Office. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure to ensure availability, security, and performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network support, troubleshooting, and security best practices while aligning IT services with business objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Infrastructure Management:

Design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure components, including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points. Ensure high availability, performance, and security of network systems. Monitor network performance, proactively identify bottlenecks, and resolve issues. Lead network-related projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely delivery within budget.

Azure Services:

Implement and manage cloud networking solutions in Azure to support business objectives Configure and optimize Azure networking components, including virtual networks, VPN gateways, and firewalls.

Collaboration and Leadership:

Provide technical support for complex network-related issues and collaborate with IT teams to integrate network solutions with other enterprise systems. Develop and maintain documentation for network architectures, processes, and procedures. Assist in IT infrastructure planning and decision-making to align with business needs.

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:

Develop and implement disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plans (BCP) for both on-premises and cloud environments. Conduct regular DR/BCP testing to ensure preparedness for potential disruptions.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in IT infrastructure and cloud computing. Identify opportunities for improvement and drive innovation within the IT department. Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers as necessary.

Position Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, IT, or related field with 10+ years of relevant experience. Expertise in IT infrastructure and cloud technologies, including Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, M365, SQL Server, SharePoint, etc. Advanced networking experience supporting a multi-office WAN environment, including designing, implementing, and maintaining WAN infrastructure and network security using Cisco Meraki. Strong PowerShell scripting skills for task automation and large-scale environment management. Experience with SCCM/Intune for application deployment and OSD. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and identify root causes. Familiarity with ITIL and experience working with ITSM systems for incident tracking and management. Experience with engineering, CAD, and design applications is desirable. Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, committed to staying updated on industry developments. Outstanding communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams. IT certifications such as CCNA, or industry-relevant training are advantageous. Valid driver’s license. Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.

Work Conditions

Sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals and other equipment.
