The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking a novice to mid-level Network Administrator to join its dynamic team of technical professionals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems sector under the Chief Information & Digital Office (CIDO) organization.
Note- The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time, at our facility/campus. This is not a virtual position.
The Network Administrator maintains smooth operation of LAN/WAN/VPNs. Plans, designs, configures, and installs network hardware in support of customer requirements. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware / software interconnection, as well a interfacing, including routers, multiplexers, firewalls, switches, gateways, etc. Proposes solutions to management. Ensures all communication requirements (based on future needs and current usage) are configured to optimize cost savings. Creates and ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions. Provides regular monitoring, and network analysis, regarding short and long-range planning for [in-house] systems. May coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment. Designs networks, or portions of networks, including the selection of hardware and software packages.

Basic Qualifications:
Master's Degree with 0 years of IT experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of IT experience; OR an Associate's Degree with 4 years of IT experience; OR a High School Diploma/GED with 6 years of IT experience is requiredMust have work experience with designing and maintaining LAN/WAN based networks, managing routing protocols on large LAN environments, and experience with Cisco hardware (routers, switches, and firewalls) Must have a DOD 8570 IAT level II baseline certification (example: Security+ CE); maintaining the certification will be a requirement of continued employment in this roleAbility to lift equipment (routers, switches, hubs, firewalls) weighing up to 40 poundsAbility to work after hours, and weekends, as neededCandidates must have a current DOD Top Secret/SCI level security clearance (at a minimum), to include a recently adjudicated Polygraph [completed within the last 5 years] in order to be considered Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment

Salary Range: $77,600.00 - $116,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
