This a very busy department with multiple areas of service, diverse IT disciplines and time management driven. Position's Purpose and Essential Functions:
Responsible for maintaining and supporting Laredo Medical Center’s internal and external network infrastructure, which includes but is not limited to network switches, routers, computer systems, servers, and workstations. Installs and configures network equipment, servers, and software to update or fix hardware or software issues. Monitors and troubleshoots computer systems to improve network performance and gathers network data for audit reviews. Plans and manages the implementation of upgrades, patches, and new software and equipment. Manages system backups and ensures data integrity. Provides technical support and guidance to IT team and end-users. Required to be on-call to support the systems above. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Reports to the IT Director.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ **Required:** Must have education equivalent to or a four-year degree in Computer Science.
+ **Required:** Network administration field of study from an accredited college with 3-5 years of experience.
+ **Required:** Knowledge of various computer hardware, software and general telecommunication.
+ **Required:** Ability to work in a fast paced environment and maintain good attention to details.
+ **Required:** Position holder must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently.
+ **Required:** Must have experience in dealing with customers (internal and external) with above average delivery of service.
