CNIC Regional Offices enable improving operational performance and cost reductions through business process definition, analysis, and development of technical capabilities which automate processes or improve transparency for analytics and decision making.
As the CNIC N6 Network Administrator you will provide support the installation, configuration, testing, maintenance and upgrade of physical and virtual routers, physical and virtual switches, physical and virtual firewalls, physical and virtual Intrusion Detection System (IDS), physical and virtual load balancers, Universal Power Supply (UPS), Power Distribution Unit (PDU) systems, network monitoring systems, Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) systems and server host network components.
In this role, you will:
Support the development, design, configuration/setup, test, maintenance and upgrade of Wide Area Networks (WAN) including but not limited to Multi-protocol Label Switching (MPLS), static and dynamic routing such as Border Area Gateway (BGP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), and other required WAN related technologies.Implement or apply all applicable Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), industry best security and design practices, and implement all applicable Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) security requirements.Support regular security scans of network infrastructures using the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scanner or other required and approved network infrastructure security scanning tools.Perform a regular back up of system configurations or setup.Install, configure, maintain, upgrade and administer a network monitoring system or systems, to include the network monitoring system’s database server and log collector if applicable.Develop, maintain and submit to the Government Technical representative physical and logical network infrastructure diagrams.Troubleshoot and fix network infrastructure problems.
