Essential Duties
• Participates in the planning, architecture, design and implementation of enterprise networks and solutions.
•Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing standards and policies.
•Maximizes network performance by both monitoring and analyzing performance, troubleshooting problems, tuning, optimizing, and balancing.
• Performs evaluation of network performance issues including: availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls.
• Secures network by implementing security, network access and controls to meet business needs and support policy.
• Defines network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, policy and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.
• Leads technical design, implementation and project work stream related to solutions.
• Provides training and mentoring to the network team members.
Qualifications & Experience
•Minimum 10 years’ experience in information technology field with at least five years specializing in network and systems architecture, design and integration.
•Experience with technical architecture, network design, software defined networking with exposure to diverse environments, configurations, technology products and services.
•Complete understanding of interior and exterior routing and switching protocols, proxy functions, security protocols, time protocols, tag and label switching.
• Expert knowledge of Cisco, routing, switching, firewalls, protocols, security and technology integration; ASA, ACL, IPSEC, SSL, VPN, NAT, ASA, IDS and ACS.
•Expertise in Cisco ASRs, Catalysts, Nexus 7/5/2k, F5 Load Balancers, Firewalls.
• Advanced knowledge of BGP, EIGRP, IGRP, OSPF, HSRP, VoIP, SIP, MPLS, DMVPN, IWAN, WAAS, Riverbed, F5, and QoS.
•Knowledge of Security Appliances and features- ASA, SRX, PAN FW.
• Expert knowledge of Wireless standards and protocols- WPA/WPA2, 802.1x, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/r/k, CAPWAP, RMM, WMM, X.509, CA Authority, MDM, AAA, Kerberos, Captive Portal, Guest Access, Posturing, Profiling, DACLs, PACLs.
• Experience and deep understanding of AAA appliances - Cisco ISE, ACS, Juniper UAC, Open RADIUS, NAC, AAA, Single Sign On.
• LDAP, non-SQL DB, Cassandra.
• DNS/DHCP services.
•Knowledge and Experience in VPN Technologies and Deployments - IPSec, 3DES, AES, IKE, DMVPN, AnyConnect, Full Tunnel/Split Tunnel Client VPN Solutions, Site to Site VPN Solutions.
•Strong experience with network performance optimization, tuning, application acceleration and load balancing technology and services.
•Python, Go, Perl Scripting experience a plus.
•Working emerging technologies a plus; SDN, Private Cloud, Network Virtualization and converged infrastructure technologies and services strongly desired.
• Must have collaborative interpersonal skills and the ability to work with others to gather requirements and specifications related to technical solution and business performance.
