Network Architect
Description We are in search of a Network Architect to join our team in the automotive industry in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining network systems, ensuring the efficient operation of our wireless network, and handling network access control. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Oversee the operation and management of switching and routing systems, with a focus on Cisco and Aruba technologies. • Administer wireless network systems, specifically utilizing Aruba Wireless. • Manage Network Access Control (NAC) through Aruba Clearpass. • Implement and maintain Fortinet Firewall policies, including UTM, BGP, VIP, Site-to-Site IPSEC VPN, NAT, and more. • Utilize Fortimanager for network management and security, demonstrating NSE7 capabilities in Fortigate, Fortimanager, and Fortianalyzer. • Carry out audits of firewall policies for consistency, security, and usability using tools like Firemon or Tufin. • Use Solarwinds tools, including NCM, NPM, IPAM, and others for network monitoring and management. • Operate and maintain Citrix NetScaler for load balancing and GSLB. Requirements • Proficient in Aruba and Aruba Wireless technologies • Demonstrable experience with Cisco Routers • Familiarity with Cisco Catalyst Switches • Solid understanding of network infrastructure and architecture in the automotive industry • Ability to design, implement, and maintain network systems • Excellent troubleshooting skills for resolving network issues • Strong knowledge of network security protocols and measures • Proven track record in managing large-scale network system projects • Proficiency in network modeling and forecasting network growth • Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and stakeholders • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field • Detail oriented certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent is preferred • Familiarity with latest industry trends and an ability to implement new technologies effectively and efficiently.
