About the Job

Designs, assesses, develops, modifies and evaluates electrical/electronic parts, components, sub-systems, algorithms, or integrated circuitry for electrical/electronic equipment and other hardware systems. Conducts feasibility studies, design margin and validation assessments and empirical testing on new and modified designs. Assists in architecture development and assessment. Evaluates reliability of materials, properties, designs, and techniques used in production. May direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication.

Contributions have visible technical impact on a product or major subcomponent.  Applies in-depth professional knowledge and innovative ideas to solve complex problems. Visible contributions improve time-to-market, achieve cost reductions, or satisfy current and future unmet customer needs. Recognized internal authority on key technology area applying innovative methods and ideas. Provides technical leadership for significant project/program work. Oversees or participates in cross-functional initiatives and contributes to mentorship and knowledge sharing across the organization.

How You'll Make Your Mark:

Develops organization-wide architectures and methodologies for electrical hardware design and development across multiple platforms and organizations within the Global Business Unit.Identifies and evaluates new technologies, innovations, and outsourced development partner relationships for alignment with technology roadmap and business value; creates plans for integration and update into architecture.Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards; integrates suggestions, updates, and innovations into overall architecture and oversees platform architecture process across business.Leverages recognized domain expertise, business acumen, and experience to influence conclusions of executive business leadership, outsourced development partners, and industry standards groups.Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members to set an example of electrical hardware design and development innovation and excellence.

About You:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.Typically 10+ years experience.Using electrical design tools and software packages.Excellent assessment and problem solving skills.Experience in overall architecture of electronic hardware for products and solutions.Designing and integrating electronic components, integrated circuitry, and algorithms into overall architecture.Evaluating, proposing, and selecting forms of empirical assessment, modeling and testing methodologies to validate component, circuit, and hardware designs and thermal/emissions management to be used across the organization.History of innovation with multiple patents in the field of electronics packaging.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at business unit and executive levels.

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S.-based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. USD Annual Salary: $130,500.00 - $300,000.00
