Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Network Configuration Technician to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

Physically configure, install, and label network equipment and sub-components (modules, SFPs, cables).

Diagnose issues with network equipment configurations or physical connections.

Install/upgrade operating systems on network equipment.

Terminate Cat6 cables and fiber.

Rack, stack, and connect server equipment, following a design or schematic.

Document all work performed in an organized manner.

Provide feedback to other network staff members.

Follow quality control and test procedures for finished products.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Associates Degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or related technical discipline, with experience in both engineering and IT. Candidates must have at least two years of relevant experience in configuring and deploying network equipment and possess the ability to configure, install, test, and troubleshoot these systems.

Read, interpret, and draw network diagrams at an intermediate level or better

Interpret and edit baseline configurations for network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls).

Manually configure network equipment.

Understand/use automated provisioning tools (i.e. Ansible) to configure network equipment.

What Desired Qualifications You'll Bring:

CompTIA Network+

Cisco CCNA (or equivalent)

Juniper Certifications

Palo Alto Certifications

Minimum Clearance Required to Start:

Secret

Salary Range: 

$25.34 - $44.33
