As a Network Deployment Engineer, you’ll play a key role in deploying the network infrastructure that powers everything from corporate offices to creative spaces like studios, post-production facilities, live broadcast facilities, and animation hubs. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams; planning and coordinating with remote hands vendors to ensure seamless, concurrent global network deliveries that support our business and creative needs.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Design, plan, and deploy network infrastructure at corporate and studio locations to meet business requirements and growth demands, ensuring availability and performance.

Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define network requirements, develop project scopes, and implement solutions that ensure performance and availability.

Direct remote hands vendors in planning, configuring, and installing network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points) through clear, detailed instructions.

Design optimal wireless layouts to ensure necessary coverage and conduct post-install site surveys to identify and implement any network adjustments needed to meet operational expectations.

Produce a bill of materials for each project, ensuring all necessary items are on-site before rack and stack. Order non-stock items as needed and recommend materials for regular stocking to support efficient future deployments.

Prepare and maintain up-to-date documentation, including network configurations, run books, and handover documents, detailing the deployment of solutions.

Oversee vendor relationships to ensure adherence to SLAs, performance standards, and seamless execution of network installations.

Develop scopes of work and manage contract commitments and deliverables to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.

Collaborate with architecture and operations teams on long-term solutions to enhance network infrastructure and support future growth.

Identify and drive improvements in our internally developed network management tools and automation processes, while collaborating closely with the internal tools team to enhance and streamline workflows.

Lead complex network upgrades and migrations, involving multiple coordinated changes with diverse stakeholders, while ensuring clear communication throughout.

Proactively troubleshoot and resolve network issues throughout the deployment to minimize impact on project timelines.

Provide mentorship, technical leadership, and support to deployment team members, partner teams, and stakeholders.

What’s Required:

A proactive and resourceful individual who achieves goals independently while collaborating effectively in teams, sharing ideas, making recommendations, and ensuring alignment through solid communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong verbal, written, social, and presentation skills are required to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences at all levels. This includes developing procedural documentation, work instructions for remote hands, and presentations.

Demonstrate flexibility in managing multiple projects and adjusting to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities while executing workflow milestones and deliverables within project timelines in a fast-paced, cross-time-zone environment.

Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent problem-solving abilities in an enterprise environment..

Extensive knowledge of network protocols, switching, routing, VXLAN, EVPN, and Wi-Fi technologies, with expertise in network operating systems such as Arista EOS, Cisco IOS, JunOS, and Mist.

Knowledge of network security principles and practices, including firewalls, IPSec, VPNs, and zero trust.

Proficient in version control, configuration management (Git/Ansible), and network automation to contribute effectively in a fast-paced deployment environment.

Experience creating rack elevations and planned, installed, and as-built documentation and drawings.

Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role, with at least 8+ years of experience in network engineering.

Must be able to regularly adjust working hours or timeshift to accommodate global projects, ensuring timely execution and collaboration across time zones.

Expertise in managing remote vendors.

Budget management skills and experience in financial planning to ensure cost-effective network solutions.

Travel to quarterly offsites, team syncs, and occasional project site visits, with overnight stays as needed.

How to Stand Out:

Expertise in system administration, scripting, automation routine, and optimizing OS/Network performance.

Proven track record of building large-scale wireless networks for enterprise and Film / TV sound stage environments.

Deployed Arista, Juniper, and Mist in the Enterprise.

Experience in web-scale, cloud networking, and hybrid environments.

Familiar with DHCP/DNS functions, configurations, troubleshooting, and IPAM tools for tracking and managing IP address allocations during network deployments.

Experience with the construction lifecycle / RIBA stages for greenfield and brownfield projects.

Demonstrate curiosity and a passion for continuous improvement, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top-of-market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $100,000 - $720,000.
