Network Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Network Engineer (Intermediate) to support existing or planned systems and networks to implement new requirements from changing National Security Agency (NSA) directives Key Responsibilities: + Assists in conducting Management and Engineering Transition by developing a strategy and planning methodology to provide alternative transport systems in support of current customer networks and operations of Non-critical Command and Control Command & Control traffic. + Provide Engineering and Integration support by identifying and making recommendations for the most effective use of current and future networks, management, and support in sustainment of multiple locations, while developing and working processes with various agencies to facilitate with other entities. + Provide solution fielding and support through planning and engineering employment to meet customer requirements by identifying valid user requirements; developing integrated supporting architecture and modeling to accommodate the provisioning of services. + Provide commercial lease acquisition and testing support through evaluation of proposals and review of test results for technical acceptance. + Provide working group and mission partner/contractor engagement support by attending engineering working group and mission partner/contractor engagements to review/discuss technical and programmatic actions and concerns to present/implement process improvements to meet customer requirements throughout the AOR. + Provide trip report for each engagement. + Provide trends and analysis by maintaining installation implementation and integration records to assist with future network troubleshooting. + Provide performance reports based on initial acceptance criteria as defined by customer. + Provide functional expertise in all aspects of provisioning for Defense Information System Network (DISN) SwitchedVoice and Digital Services, the Secret/Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router Networks (SIPRNET/NIPRNET), Joint Information Transfer System, Dedicated DISN Transport. Requirements: + Top Secret Clearance Required. TS/SCI Preferred. Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field, or 3 years equivalent work experience. + 3-5 years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a related technical role, with hands-on experience in network design, deployment, and troubleshooting. + Strong understanding of network protocols, security standards, and performance optimization techniques. + Experience with network simulation tools and monitoring systems (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Cisco Prime). + Familiarity with test automation tools for network testing and network troubleshooting tools. + Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess and troubleshoot complex network issues. Preferred Qualifications: + Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking certification. + Experience in network performance testing + Experience with network security, including VPNs, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption standards.
