We are looking for 1 experienced enterprise Network Engineer to fill an open position on an existing team.  Currently the network team consists of 5 network engineers looking to grow to 8.  This team is focused on the architecture, design, monitoring, and management of our network.  We are a Cisco shop with over 5,000 network devices, 10,000 users, nearly 1,000 remote sites.  Cisco hardware we support includes but is not limited to Nexus 9500s, ASR1Ks, 6500s, 4500s, 3900s, 2960s, 4341s, 5585s, 5545s adaptive security appliances, 800 series routers both cell and broadband, 8510 and 5500 series wireless LAN controllers, and nearly one thousand Cisco access points. 
Must be comfortable in a team environment but also self-motivated.  Must be able to manage your time well and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.  We are looking for highly technical, well spoken, eager individuals with numerous years of experience in a large enterprise environment.  Certificates (i.e. CCNA/CCNP) are a plus but not required if the candidate possess the hands on experience that would be equivalent.  Each position will have specific responsibilities of that position as well as general responsibilities.
General Responsibilities and required fundamental knowledge:• Perform day to day troubleshooting of network issues Layer 1- 7• WAN, LAN, WLAN, VOIP setup and troubleshooting• Routing and Switching• Switch port configurations• Router configurations• Understanding of various protocols including BGP, EIGRP, HSRP, VRRP• Daily interaction with our users and business partners.  Excellent written and verbal communications skills a must• Travel possible when we have hardware deployments• Overnight or after hours work possible as with any network job but not the norm
Specific skills we are looking for.  Not all of these will be met by any one candidate but you could surprise us.  Keep in mind this is not a list of responsibilities by specific position this is a list of responsibilities we are looking to augment on the existing team or leverage across multiple individuals depending on their specific skill set.  These duties may change or move among individuals.
Wireless LAN:We are looking for someone to be our wireless administrator.  We need someone with experience related to:• Cisco 8510 WLCs• Prime Infrastructure for management and monitoring• Various Cisco APs (3500, 3600, 3700 series)• RF experience a plus• H-REAP• Certificates for authentication of mobile devices• BYOD• WLAN security and authentication• Cisco Identity Service Engine Experience would be a BIG plus as this is the appliance we rely on for all of our authentication but we do understand this talent may not be easy to come by we are willing to train the right individual if they possess many of the other qualities and skills we are looking for.
WAN site support:We are looking for someone to troubleshoot, design, and configure our nearly 1000 remote sites from a WAN perspective we need someone to setup new sites, monitor that all of this hardware is up to date and on a proper refresh cycle and when it needs refreshed work on projects to refresh all of this hardware.  This Engineer would be responsible for the planning and management of the roll out plan for the hardware as well as remotely helping the install team with any issues.  Our WAN is comprised of MPLS, BGP, Metro-E networks with numerous VRFs and security zones.  Some of our sites have redundant connections and are load balanced across connections some are simple.  We are planning to move to an SD-WAN model so experience with Cisco Intelligent WAN or other SD-WAN related technologies would be a bonus. 
Data Center Redundancy and Fail-over.  We are in the process of architecting and deploying a secondary data center for backup, disaster recovery, and fail over.  We are looking at redesigning our core network which will migrate form 6500s to the new Nexus platform.  Experience with data center routing and switching as well as multiple data centers would be a bonus.
Virtual Private Networks on Cisco ASAs with AnyConnect, Cisco ISE for authentication, as well as site to site VPN. We have over 5,000 AnyConnect VPN users and 100s of site to site tunnels to numerous business partners and remote sites.
Network monitoring tools and automation.  Currently we have OpManager by ManageEngine and Microsoft SCOM.  With the network growing our monitoring, documentation, and automation needs are growing as well.  Experience with large scale enterprise network monitoring, documentation, and management tools would be a plus.
Security...as with any large enterprise security is a very important.  Experience in WAN, LAN, WLAN, VPN, certificates, LDAP, AD, Cisco adaptive security appliances, Checkpoint Firewalls VSX, network segmentation, monitoring, and alerting.
