What to Expect?
Under the supervision and guidance of a more senior network engineer, participate in the day-to-day systems and network administration/management activities;Identify problems and participate in problem management resolution by collecting and tracking data and progress;Identify and propose system modifications in order to reduce user problems on networks, systems, applications, or a combination thereof;Update existing training packages for internal use and problem management procedures for existing products/services;Participate in the review of problem situations and identification of opportunities for improvement to processes, procedures or tools;Acquire technical and product knowledge to resolve problems.Participate in troubleshooting and monitoring of the network infrastructure and respond to exceptions by initiating the corrective actions to meet the highest availability targets;Communicate with network providers to escalate and follow-up issues;Make suggestions on improvements and participate in implementation of approved improvements throughout the network architecture.What will make you successful?
University degree in IT / Engineering or equivalentSome experience in a similar position in a comparable technical environment is an assetExcellent English communication skillsExcellent analytical and assessment skillsProfessional knowledge and expertiseCisco/Juniper experience, basic UNIX and Scripting knowledge are an assetCCNA, CCNP and Juniper certifications are an asset
