Network Engineer
Description We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, configuring, and optimizing network services across our organization. This role is a contract to permanent employment opportunity that offers the chance to work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Responsibilities: • Plan, design, and install network infrastructure across the organization. • Analyze and resolve complex network, infrastructure, and application issues. • Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve escalated network-related tickets and issues. • Collaborate with other IT teams and lines of business to implement network infrastructure and network security needs for cross-functional projects. • Develop automation tools to enhance network infrastructure and network security management and administration. • Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of network infrastructure and make recommendations to management. • Maintain documentation and procedures for the engineering and administration of network services. • Collaborate with technical stakeholders, non-technical stakeholders, and management to provide advanced troubleshooting assistance for large-scale outages. • Mentor, guide, and assist members of the Network team. • Utilize skills in Cisco Routers and Firewall to support routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, and/or BGP and security technologies such as NAC, Firewalls, Proxies, and VPN. Requirements • Must possess at least 3 years of experience as a Network Engineer. • Demonstrated expertise in managing Cisco Routers. • Proficient in working with Firewall. • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware. • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices. • Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols. • Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems. • Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection. • Strong analytical skills. • Excellent problem-solving skills. • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
