Network Engineer
Description We are in search of a Network Engineer to join our team in Anaheim, California. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and upgrading our corporation's various networks. You will collaborate with a team to address system issues and ensure the efficiency and security of our networks. Responsibilities: • Collaborating with users to establish network specifications by analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements • Evaluating network performance issues such as availability, utilization, throughput, and latency • Planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of network equipment • Creating network policies and procedures • Maintaining and updating existing software and hardware • Ensuring that all network hardware/firmware is up-to-date • Collaborating with the Network Administrator to ensure optimal network performance and to analyze and test any network changes that may affect critical systems • Ensuring the highest possible level of network security and monitoring the network for potential security vulnerabilities and attacks • Advocating for new technologies and products, and attending networking conferences and training • Performing other duties and projects as assigned. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Network Engineer role or similar • Proficiency in Cisco Routers and Cisco Technologies is required • Demonstrable experience with Database and Backup Technologies • Experience in Configuration Management and Deployments is necessary • Strong knowledge of IP Routing and IP Routing Protocols • Familiarity with Routing Protocol and Network Routing is desired • Proficiency in LAN Switching, Layer 3 Switches, Router Switches is necessary • Must have experience with Switch Configuration and Switch Routers • Experience with Extreme Network and Extreme Programming is beneficial • Knowledge of Fortinet Firewalls is required • Must possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred.
