Responsibilities Works with the Manager of Enterprise Architecture, other associates, and vendors in the design, implementation, documentation, & management of all internal corporate LAN & WAN network infrastructures (e.g. cabling, routers, switches, hubs, telecommunication devices & circuits, firewall appliances, wireless technologies, VOIP) per documented standards and industry best practicesAccountable for advanced problem determination and resolution of networking & connectivity issues. Works with other associates and/or vendors if necessary and uses various tools and advanced analysis techniques to efficiently and effectively analyze root cause problems/issues and take appropriate corrective actionWorks with business units and other IT departments in researching, recommending & testing cost effective, efficient, reliable, & scalable network products and/or services that address stated IT and business departmental needs and requirementsUnder direction of the Manager of Enterprise Architecture, assumes the primary responsibility in evaluating, designing, implementing & maintaining systems that monitor critical network devices and connectivity. Develops & produces detailed reporting metrics of network outages, utilization & performance in accordance with defined departmental procedures & policiesDesigns, implements, maintains, monitors & reviews security standards for network devices and connectivity according to industry best practices & HIPAA compliance. Works with the Manager of Enterprise Architecture, the Security Office and HIPAA Compliance department in defining & implementing security standardsActs as the lead network infrastructure resource and works with other IT and business departments in planning, testing and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives.Works with the company trouble ticketing system and provides end user support. Manages work orders to meet or exceed SLAsPerforms other tasks as assigned Qualifications

Education/Learning Experience:

Required: College Graduate or equivalent work experienceDesired: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Industry Standard Certifications

Work Experience:

Required: Previous experience in project leadership.  Five to seven years in infrastructure/network environments performing network planning, architecture design, hardware and software engineering and optimization.  Five to seven years enterprise network design including WAN and LAN topologies and security concerns regarding DMZ implementation.  Four to five years experience with MPLS networks and class of service designProficient in the use of a network analyzer(s), SNMP monitoring systems & other networking analysis systems or tools. In-depth knowledge of network protocols such as; TCP/IP, IPX, SNA – with advanced knowledge of TCP/IP including routing, subnets, application layer characteristics (e.g. FTP, Telnet, SNA over TCP/IP, WINS, DNS, and DHCP,).  Ability to use a protocol analyzer to perform advanced troubleshooting and network analysis.  Proficient with MS applications (Word, Excel, Access) and network design/documentation software (e.g. Visio, NetViz, Autocad)

Skills/Knowledge:

Required: Advanced knowledge with Network Operating Systems, Hardware, and Software troubleshooting skills.  Advanced TCP/IP fundamentals including routing, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, subneting, network sniffing, WINS, DNS, and DHCP.  Proficiency in MS applications (Word, Excel, Access)Desired: Network Security Auditing and Mitigation

Licenses/Certifications:

Required: CCNA, CCNPDesired: CCIE
