Network Engineer
Major Hospital Corporation in Central New Jersey looking for a Network Engineer with a strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols. This includes knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, DMVPN), switching technologies, VLANs, and subnetting. Skills: Network engineering, Router, Cisco switches, Bgp, Data center, Wan, nexus Must have the ability to go onsite to perform work as needed. Experience Level: Expert Level Network Equipment: Experience working with various network equipment such as Cisco routers, Cisco switches(Nexus 9300/9500 & Catalyst 9200/9300), Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls, F5 load balancers, Aruba Wireless, Cisco Anyconnect, Aruba NAC, Aruba TACACS, and Aruba end device profiling. Network Design and Implementation: Ability to design and implement network architectures, considering factors like scalability, redundancy, and security. This involves planning and deploying network infrastructure, including physical cabling, IP addressing, and network segmentation. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Proficiency in identifying and resolving network issues, performing network troubleshooting, and analyzing packet captures. Strong problem-solving skills are essential to diagnose and resolve complex network problems efficiently. Security: Understanding of network security principles and best practices. This includes knowledge of Palo Alto & Fortinet Firewalls, VPNs, and secure remote access methods. Network Monitoring and Management: Experience with network monitoring tools such as Back Box, SolarWinds, Wireshark, Cacti, Fortimanager, Panorama, and Aruba Airwave/Central. Documentation and Reporting: Ability to create and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures. Good written and verbal communication skills are important for reporting and effectively communicating with team members and stakeholders. Collaboration and Teamwork: General Network Engineers will work in a team environment, collaborating with other IT professionals.
