GDIT is searching for a Network Engineer to support our customer in Wiesbaden, Germany. The Network Engineer is responsible for analyzing customer requirements and provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate complexity. They will be responsible for performing maintenance, updating configurations, patching, monitoring, and upgrading networks equipment to include servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and cryptographic equipment.
HOW THE NETWORK ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies
Evaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network Maintains system backup and recovery capability.
Coordinating hardware and software acquisition.
Creating plans and configures systems for data communication networks
Creating network diagrams, documenting configurations, and documenting procedures.
Supporting the design and build of hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks.
Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Perform work critical to the organization.
Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and cryptographic equipment.
May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Security Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
Certification: Candidates must have a valid DoD 8570.2/8140 IAT II certification; CCNA certified CCNP preferred.
Skills: Experience diagraming networks. Experience supporting DoD Networks.
Education: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of experience
Must be German TESA eligible

The likely salary range for this position is $88,275 - $115,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.Scheduled Weekly Hours:
