The Network Engineer is a member of the Information Technology Department who is responsible for the design, development, configuration, operation, and maintenance of SHI’s corporate data networks and supporting systems. They work on a team of engineers and administrators that maintain our global network and the interconnections with our customers and partners.
This position reports to the Assistant Manager of Networking within the Information Technology department.

Deploy, configure, and maintain network routers, switches, and firewallsDeploy, configure, and maintain datacenter network switches and controllersConfigure and troubleshoot IPSec VPNs on router and firewall platformsDeploy, configure, and maintain public cloud networking componentsDeploy, configure, and maintain Wi-Fi controllers and access pointsDeploy, configure, and maintain SD-WAN controllers and endpointsDeploy, configure, and maintain network access security controllersDeploy, configure, and maintain network load balancersProvide level 3 support for network incidents and problemsCreate and maintain network documentation Qualifications Completed Bachelors Degree or relevant work experience requiredCCNA certification5 years of experience deploying and configuring Cisco routers and switchesStrong knowledge of IP networking and the OSI modelExperience configuring and troubleshooting network routing protocols including BGP and OSPFExperience configuring and troubleshooting IPSec VPNs Required Skills Proficient in configuration of network firewallsProficient in configuration of Wi-Fi controllers and access pointsProficient in configuration of Cisco routers and switchesExcellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to follow a structured methodology to solve problemsExcellent teamwork and organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to handle multiple tasksExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDesire and ability to research and study technology to increase knowledge and solve problemsSelf-motivated and possessing the ability to complete tasks and projects when provided with high level requirements

The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
