The scope of work is to provide the full range of Network Administrator skills in support of the Information Technology Division's Network Management department.
Network Engineer 4
Years of Experience:
12 or more years of experience in the field
Job Description:
• Network administration, security administration
• Installation of patches and upgrades to servers and network devices
• Network security configuration and administration
• Special projects installing server and network equipment and software
Fundamental requirements:
Advanced working knowledge of and experience with network administration of Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, Cisco routers, switches and firewalls
Thorough, in-depth knowledge of and experience with TCP/IP and all layers of the OSI Model
Meticulous attention to detail, skilled in providing documentation for end-users, ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously and to work both independently and in a team environment
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Legally eligible to be hired as a state employee
Desired but not required: working knowledge of VMWare ESX, Citrix XenApp, VPN
