Visit arcfield.com for more details. Responsibilities The individual selected for this position will support the Customer’s organization that provides video engineering services on a global scale. The enterprise supports a carrier class WAN, complex and diverse campus. This position will provide systems/network engineering support to the Customer’s mission partners. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Designs and plans network communications systems Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture Conducts testing of network designs Responsible for monitoring network hardware operations to ensure properly set configuration options Plans implementation of enhancement and upgrades to the network Advises network users of hardware requirements, configurations, and limitations Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, and gateways, etc. Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network Qualifications Required: Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance and Polygraph A degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering, Business, or a scientific, or technical discipline Requires a minimum of 12 years' exprience with a BS/BA or 10 years with a masters or 10 years with a PhD Knowledge of theory and practice underlying LAN/WAN network operations Knowledge of communications and information security policies and practices Knowledge of multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Experience operating Cisco UC system components including: Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM) Cisco Unified Border Element (UBE) Cisco ExperessWay or Tandberg Video Communications Server (VCS) Cisco Meeting Server (MS) or Acano Media Gateways Cisco Prime Collaboration Provisioning (PCP) Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) Cisco Jabber software client Experience operating VMWare ESXi hypervisor servers Understanding of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and H.323 communications protocols Understanding of Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocols and certificates Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight and as part of a team of associate contractors Desired: Experience operating Trident V2CDS Cross-Domain Solution servers Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux or CentOS Linux Knowledge of troubleshooting firewalls – specifically regarding SIP and H.323 protocols Knowledge of other vendor UC systems – including but not limited to, Avaya, Microsoft, Oracle AcmePacket, and Polycom Knowledge of the Sponsor’s policies and procedures relating to design, upgrading, and operating and maintaining their networks Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment Strong oral and written communications and interpersonal skills Ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals EEO Statement EEO Arcfield proactively fulfills its role as an equal opportunity employer.
