Ability to work in a team environment.Beginner knowledge in network design,routing, switching, network architecture, protocols and network topology; DOCSIS technologies and CMTS routers; /IP and the OSI Model; using ticketing and software tools to support the current operations; basic network devices and network appliances; network designing software, such as Visio.Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience. (3.3 GPA or above)

Plusses:

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel-Lucent, etc.)

Day to Day/Project:

A telecommunications company is seeking a Network Engineer II to join their team! You will be responsible for the implementation of approved network and video architecture and designs. A Network Engineer II assists in the documentation and implementation of configuration changes to network systems of varying complexity.
As a member of the team, you will develop and implement network/video enhancements while following corporate standards. You must have the ability to perform duties in a very fast-paced environment and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
