Sentinel is seeking for a Network Engineer for one of our customers. We are looking for someone who possesses a strong technical acumen along with leadership skills with ability to manage vendor relations. Primary responsibilities will be to maintain the servers, switches, wireless access, cameras, access control, security system, managing 7 other people in tech department, working with police and fire on panic buttons and access to cameras, emergency 911 layout, manage vendor relations and the E-rate program. This is a contract job opportunity reporting onsite in Alsip, IL.
Qualifications Must have previous experience working with vendorsMust have previous experience as a lead to a small team of help desk and engineersMust possess the skills to mentor and guide more junior level members of the team.Must have a deep understanding of networking concepts and technologies, as well as the ability to troubleshoot problems and implement security measuresMust have experience with Laserfiche system for electronic routingMust have experience with Server, Switch, Active Directory, and email system supportMust have experience with internet security, e-rate administration, internet and WAN supportMust possess a deep understanding of networking concepts, such as TCP/IP, routing protocols, and switching technologies.Must possess an in-depth knowledge of Cisco networking hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, and wireless access points.The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipmentA valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be requiredLegally authorized to work in the US without sponsorshipMust demonstrate a “can-do” attitudeWe focus on candidates that display our “ACE” factor – Attitude, Compassion, and Enthusiasm to deliver quality solutions with exceptional customer service.
Compensation Range: $65/hr - $80/hr
