Description Seeking your next opportunity in networking? Robert Half has partnered with a reputable organization to hire a Network Engineer (Contract) with expertise in Aruba and Cisco technologies. In this key role, you will design, deploy, and optimize network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity, security, and performance. Experience with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls is a plus, but Aruba and Cisco proficiency is critical as this is a migration away from Cisco to Aruba. Key Responsibilities: + Network Deployment & Maintenance: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Aruba wireless networks and Cisco networking equipment, including switches, routers, and access points. + Network Optimization: Analyze network performance, implement solutions to enhance efficiency, and ensure scalability to meet evolving business needs. + Security Monitoring: Collaborate on firewall rules and policies to maintain a secure network environment. Experience with FortiGate firewalls is preferred but not required. + Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions. + Documentation: Maintain detailed records of network architecture, configurations, and updates for internal use and auditing purposes. + Collaboration: Work with IT teams and external vendors to support network-related projects and drive implementations to successful completion. Requirements Required Qualifications: + Proven experience as a Network Engineer or equivalent role in enterprise environments. + Extensive hands-on expertise with Aruba (wireless networks and mobility solutions) and Cisco devices (routers, switches, and access points). + Proficiency with network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and troubleshooting tools. + Certifications: Relevant credentials such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP or Aruba Certified Network Professional (ACNP) certification strongly preferred. + Solid understanding of network security principles, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls. Experience with FortiGate firewalls is a nice-to-have. + Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide support in fast-paced environments. Preferred Qualifications: + Familiarity with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls and their integration into network designs. + Knowledge of hybrid network environments and cloud networking solutions. + Experience with IT project management or cross-functional collaboration. + Exposure to automation or scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).
