Network Engineer
Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Network Engineer in Connecticut. This role will entail a focus on enterprise and data center networks, with responsibilities including the management and deployment of these networks, as well as the configuration and maintenance of routing and switching technologies. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with IT staff and other departments to address network-related needs • Utilize scripting languages such as Python and Ansible to automate network tasks • Monitor the performance of the network and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation • Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation and diagrams • Provide technical support and training to end-users and staff • Implement network security measures and verify compliance with policies • Plan, deploy, and manage enterprise and data center networks and appliances • Configure and maintain routing and switching technologies • Maintain the accuracy of customer credit records • Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer. • Proficient with Cisco routers, technologies, access points, hardware, identity services engine, networking, nexus, products, and wireless. • Expertise in Juniper networks, routers, and switches. • Extensive knowledge of Palo Alto Firewall and Fortinet Firewalls. • Solid understanding of network security and network security monitoring. • Experienced in managing fiber optic networks. • Proficient in using Infoblox. • Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure and enterprise network. • Familiar with data center infrastructure, technologies, operations, and environment. • Experience with Cisco Catalyst switches and Cisco Firewall. • Knowledgeable in load balancer and network load balancing. • Programming skills particularly in Python and Ansible. • System administration experience. • Proficient in Cisco Prime. • Experience with Windows and Linux environments. • Knowledge of Active Directory and LDAP - Lightweight Dir Access Protocol. • Skilled in access management. • Certified in CCNA technologies, Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCNP, and JNCIS.
