Description We are in search of a Sr Network Engineer to join our client's team in Kansas City, Missouri for a 3-month contract opportunity! We are looking for a high-level Network Engineer SME for this position. Must be local to the Kansas City area. Additionally, our ideal candidate has experience as a Sr Network Engineer with security project experience, as well as conducted network segmentations with SD-wan/ACI, palo alto rule optimization, etc. Responsibilities: + Design and implement resilient SD WAN changes to route the traffic through Palo Alto Firewall. + Configure and manage routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP to ensure optimal routing and failover capabilities. + Implement and manage VLANs, VRFs, and other network segmentation techniques to isolate and secure traffic between data centers and within data centers. + Implement application segmentation leveraging Cisco ACI and VMware integration. + Conduct deep dive analysis on over-permissive and non-optimized rule sets. + Suggest and implement changes to lock down rules and incorporate app-id into the rule. + Perform network and traffic analysis on client’s applications and identify techniques and ACI rules to segment the applications. Requirements + Hands-on experience in Cisco data center devices, SD WAN routers, and Palo Alto Firewall. + Understands NetFlow data and familiar with SolarWinds to pull reports for traffic analysis. + Certifications in Cisco and Palo Alto, preferred. + Must be local to Kansas City area.
