Network Engineer
Description Wegmans is looking to bring in a Network Engineer for a 12 Month Contract. This person will be helping them with work related to their PCI compliance. With Wegmans being a grocery store they process credit card and banking information every day. They are consistently audited for PCI compliance and there are changes that need to be made to their network to stay in compliance. This person will be making the necessary changes to the network/firewalls/load balancers in order to stay compliant. This is purely an operations role, they wont be doing any engineering level work. A Sr. Network Admin would be able to do this type of work as well. This position requires the execution of operational tasks across several network and security platforms. The following proficiencies are desired: • Solid understanding of core network technologies and principles. • Interpret technical requirements and effectively interact with cross functional teams to obtain details/clarification. • Produce clear, concise communications and documentation as needed. • Work effectively both independently and within a team. Highly competent hands-on experience in the following: • New Generation Security Appliances: Proficiently/proactively patch Palo Alto appliances, investigate, and deploy firewall configuration/rule changes. • Network Load balancing Platform: Proficiently/proactively patch F5 appliances, investigate, and deploy configuration/rule changes. • Unified Communications: Hands-on experience with Cisco proprietary Voice/UC platforms/components. Perform patching and SW/FW upgrades as needed per PCI program requirements. • L2 and L3 networking: Patch Cisco and Arista network appliances (switches) and implement configuration changes as needed as part of ongoing PCI program.
