Network Engineer
Description Seeking a Senior Network Lifecycle Contractor to assist with replacing and upgrading network equipment for various businesses within the organization. This role will act as the subject matter expert (SME) on the enterprise network platform and provide critical support before, during, and after each lifecycle event. You will ensure all services are restored, assist with daily operations support, and contribute to design and architectural decisions. If you are an experienced network engineer with expertise in Aruba and Cisco technologies and have a passion for managing and upgrading network systems, we encourage you to apply. + Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on the enterprise network platform, guiding the TFG Network team and local site representatives through the network lifecycle. + Gather specifications, use cases, and document the current network environment for all equipment being replaced or upgraded. + Oversee the acquisition, delivery, and configuration of replacement network equipment to ensure it meets all operational and business needs. + Travel to various locations to support equipment migration during off-hours (evening or weekend). + Perform post-migration analysis to ensure the newly installed equipment is operating correctly and providing the same services as before. + Manage network configuration changes with minimal downtime, adhering to established change management policies. + Ensure that network configurations meet industry standards, and complete thorough support documentation before and after changes. + Reduce security risks by ensuring network platforms are secure and up to date with patches and software updates. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to resolve network-related issues and ensure seamless operational continuity. Requirements + 8+ years of experience in network engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience + Expertise in Aruba and Cisco switching/routing and a strong understanding of how various network services connect to the equipment at lifecycle sites + Experience with network monitoring and management tools (Solarwinds, FortiManager, Ansible, Fabric Composer preferred) + CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) is preferred; CCIE or equivalent in Aruba is a plus + Experience in wireless network environments (ideally Aruba wireless) + Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex network environments + Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team setting + Strong communication and documentation skills Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
