**Description**
Leidos National Security Sector is looking for a full-time **Network Engineer** at our customer site located at the Naval Support Activity-South Potomac, Dahlgren, VA.
Become a member of the team leading the way with network administration and engineering support for elements supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center - Detachment Dahlgren (NSWCDD).
As a Network professional, you’ll be working with a team of forward thinking, innovative, and highly motivated personnel dedicated to implementing and leveraging the latest capabilities of Network Engineering and Administration support. **Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Providing support and coordinating responses on network outages with Voice, Video, IP, Transport, OSP Construction, and local Operations Engineers to ensure quick and thorough resolution Monday through Friday.
+ Providing Network System Administration support to approximately 50 CISCO network devices across multiple security domains.
+ Accountable for maintaining daily operations, monitoring, problem identification/resolution of server/systems, applications, operating systems and analyzing activity and performance ensuring system/application is providing optimum performance and availability.
+ Assists with network outage isolation and troubleshooting and perform event notifications to internal and external customers.
+ Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves problems affecting network performance escalations.
+ Triages and works tickets to find solutions that correct customer network issues and faults.
+ Performs other duties as assigned, including departmental and cross-functional projects.
**Security Clearance Required:**
+ Current DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of practical Network Administration experience in LAN technologies. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
+ Active IAT Level II DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
+ CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification - must obtain within 90 days from date of hire.
+ Proficiency with TACACs+, data packet capture, traffic analysis, and vulnerability analysis and remediation.
+ Proficient in configuring CISCO devices using: EIGRP, BGP, SNMP, TCP/IP, OSPF, Spanning Tree, ARP, dot1Q, VLANs, VPN, GRE, IPSEC, subnetting, NAT, access control lists, and various other routing and networking protocols.
+ Experience with data packet capture, traffic analysis, and vulnerability analysis & remediation.
+ Exceptional customer service skills – demonstrated ability to work with an incredibly wide variety of teams, internal and external customers, internal and external service providers.
+ Must have a thorough knowledge of the OSI model and how it pertains to various transmission protocols, and multi-protocol routing including VRF, VPN, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, VPLS, and VPRN.

**Pay Range:**
Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00
