SPA’s IT team has an immediate need for a Network Engineer in San Diego, CA.
ResponsibilitiesThe Network Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of network projects in both enterprise and classified networks, in accordance with change management policies. The Network Engineer will be responsible for staying abreast of new and future technologies.
The specific programs and options available to any given employee may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location, date of hire, etc.
Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. California Pay Transparency Range: $140k-$175K
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
5-7 years’ experience with a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field (e.g., cybersecurity, computer science, computer engineering) or 7+ years’ equivalent experience in networkingSolid understanding and hands-on experience with switches, routers, routing protocols (especially BGP), and SDWAN platformsExperience in access control lists, firewalls, IPSs, load balancing, VPN technologies, and other security technologiesBroad understanding of technical principle, theories, and concepts in the networking fieldExperience with cloud networking technologies, including AzureUnderstanding of DoD and networking baselines and compliance requirements (i.e., CMMC, RMF, C2C), including implementing DISA STIGS Experience configuring, and implementing network access control solutions, such as Cisco ISE, in secure environments.
Professional Certifications:
Candidate must possess or can obtain a DoD 8140/8570 baseline certification and relevant specific technology training within 6 months of initial employmentOne or more of the following vendor-specific professional certifications is required:Cisco Palo AltoArubaClearance Requirements:
