Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a skilled Network Engineer in the Boston, Massachusetts area. This role is instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our technical operations and plays a critical role in our network connectivity, ensuring seamless communication across our enterprise. Responsibilities: • Ensure accurate and efficient changes to firewall rules on the Cisco FTD / FMC platform • Establish new site-to-site VPN tunnels, modify existing ones, and troubleshoot any arising issues • Provide network support for our Azure environment • Oversee office network and connectivity support, primarily on the Cisco Meraki Platform including MX/Microsoft/MR hardware & Meraki Dashboard • Address common connectivity issues by obtaining log files/packet captures, and opening support cases • Liaise with telecommunications carriers and Internet Service Providers as needed to resolve common circuit issues. Requirements • Must possess in-depth knowledge of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) • Proficiency in Checkpoint is required • Must be adept at using Cisco ASA • Familiarity with Cisco Routers and Cisco Technologies is a must • Should have a strong understanding of Computer Hardware • Experience in Configuration Management is essential • Must have working knowledge of Datacenter operations • Familiarity with VPN - Virtual Private Network is required • Must be proficient in VPN Technologies • Experience with Remote access VPNs is a plus • Knowledge of Meraki is desired • Must have experience with Cisco Firewall Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
