Teksystems has a client in the Spartanburg, SC area that needs to add a Network Administrator to their team. The role is slated as a 6 month contract to hire. The client needs to add headcount because currently they have a team of 3 responsible for supporting the infrastructure in these distribution centers and pharmacies to include the compute environment, network environment, servers/systems, routers/switches, access points, phone systems, workstations etc. All of their customer facing applications are Linux, so they are looking for someone who can build, patch, harden and test Linux servers making sure the packages are up to date. In total there are 80-90 Linux boxes in their environment. 50% of the time this person will be responsible for for the Linux work. The other 50% will be spent on alternate tasks, that may be monitoring, making sure everything is on the right code levels, data center switching, security patching etc. They run all Cisco products - firepower, UCS chassis, cisco SD WAN, ISE, full collaboration suite etc. 5 locations, 250 servers, 700-800 nodes on the network. They try and script everything. Experience in datacenter networking - cisco 9k's, fiber channel switching would be very helpful as well. If you are interested in more details please act quickly.
