Network Engineer
Description Design, implement, and manage LAN, WAN, and wireless networks Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uptime and efficiency Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs Ensure network security by implementing best practices, firewalls, and access controls Collaborate with system administrators and cybersecurity teams to safeguard data and systems Support VoIP and unified communications systems Maintain network documentation, including diagrams, policies, and procedures Perform regular network capacity planning and upgrades Stay updated on emerging network technologies and recommend improvements Requirements 3-5 years of experience in network engineering or related IT roles Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VLANs Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco, Juniper, or other networking equipment Familiarity with firewall management, VPNs, and network security principles Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, or PRTG Understanding of cloud networking with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus Knowledge of scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell is a plus Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are preferred Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
