Network Engineer
Description We are in search of a Network Engineer to join our client's team in Madison, Wisconsin. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. As a Network Engineer, you'll be instrumental in maintaining their network systems, managing security measures, and supporting the overall digital manufacturing team. Responsibilities: • Manage and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls • Provide support to the digital manufacturing team for all network-related tasks • Handle network segmentation and enhance firewall security • Monitor and troubleshoot network environments to ensure seamless operations • Utilize network monitoring tools for proactive maintenance and system optimization • Work with Palo Alto Firewall and Palo Alto Networks for advanced security measures • Assist in the setup and maintenance of SD-WAN • Travel to various locations as necessary for network setup and maintenance • Contribute to the planning and implementation of new facilities' network systems • Work on networking issues on actual stations and understand the setup in labs. Requirements • Applicant must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of Network Engineering. • Proficiency in working with Cisco Routers is a must. • Demonstrated knowledge of Router Switches is required. • Familiarity with Switches is essential for this role. • Experience with SD-WAN technologies is expected. • Proficiency in using Network Monitoring Tools is necessary. • A strong background in Network Engineering is required. • Previous experience working in a Network Environment in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable. • Experience with Palo Alto Firewall is a crucial requirement. • Proficiency in Palo Alto Networks is needed for this role.
