Network Engineer
Description We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Engineer with expertise in Fortinet security solutions to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and securing network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, and safeguarding the organization's digital assets. Key Responsibilities: + Design, configure, and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, with a strong focus on Fortinet products (FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, etc.). + Implement and maintain network security policies, including firewall rules, IPS/IDS, and web filtering. + Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and optimize network architecture. + Perform firmware upgrades, patch management, and routine maintenance for network hardware. + Configure and maintain secure site-to-site and client VPNs using Fortinet solutions. + Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities. + Create and maintain detailed network diagrams, documentation, and incident reports. + Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and end-users regarding network-related issues. + Research and recommend new technologies to enhance network performance and security. + Ensure network compliance with company policies, industry standards, and best practices. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). + 3–5 years of experience in network engineering or administration. + Hands-on experience with Fortinet products (FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer). + Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, etc.). + Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and SD-WAN solutions is a plus. + Certifications such as Fortinet NSE 4 or higher are strongly preferred. + Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds). + Solid knowledge of security concepts, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and threat management.
