Network Engineer
Description • Deploy and maintain functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN) • Configure, maintain and install software, switches, routers and other network devices • Monitor network performance and integrity • Resolve technical issues, often collaborating across teams to troubleshoot, resolve and determine root cause • Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness • Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery) • Communicate with users and customers • Maintain complete technical documentation • Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability Skills Network engineering, Cisco routers, Cisco switches Top Skills Details Network engineering, Cisco routers, Cisco switches Additional Skills & Qualifications • Industry-related experience as a Network Engineer • Strong knowledge of Azure networking best practices, including hybrid connectivity and routing • Solid background in network topology and administration • Solid understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, EIGRP) • Familiarity with access control models and network security • Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g Python, Perl) • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds / Auvik network tools) • Solid understanding of network operating systems (Cisco IOS) • Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently • Ability to implement and troubleshoot Wi-FI and security infrastructure • Sharp troubleshooting skills • Ability to work independently • BS/BA/AD in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
