Java, Python, Oracle, MySQL, Azure, AWS, GCP, CCNP, CCIE, EMS/NMS architectures Location Menlo Park, CA ( onsite ) Experience Role Description Responsibilities: Champion the development and deployment of self-healing network strategies, focusing on terrestrial and submarine networks to guarantee seamless global connectivity. Employ advanced technologies, including AI and GenAI, to automate the network healing process, minimizing downtime and enhancing user experience. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize network architecture, integrating self-healing capabilities to improve availability, scalability, and performance. Lead the adoption of cloud-based solutions and advanced data platforms, utilizing them to refine network self-healing mechanisms. Initiate continuous network improvement efforts, proactively identifying vulnerabilities, and bolstering network resilience against failures. Promote the integration of Generative AI into network management processes, setting new benchmarks for automated network diagnostics and maintenance. Perform comprehensive analyses, offering insights on network health, trends, and areas for optimization. Manage cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing network robustness and compliance with Client's strategic objectives. Mentor and develop team members, nurturing a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous learning within the network operations team. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field, with a Master’s degree strongly preferred. Over 10 years of experience in network engineering, with a profound focus on self-healing network technologies and practices. Demonstrated expertise in leveraging cloud technologies, AI, and GenAI to improve network health and self-repair capabilities. In-depth knowledge of network systems architecture, design, and implementation, especially in terrestrial and submarine networks. Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) and familiarity with database technologies (e.g., Oracle, MySQL). Experience with modern data platforms and cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) for network analysis and operations. Deep understanding of Telecommunications Operations Systems and Architecture, including TMF standards. Deep understanding and experience in optical transport, networking, IP/MPLS and related network protocols for Metro, Long Haul and Submarine applications. Deep understanding of EMS/NMS architectures for transport networks. Experience in leveraging inference and AI based solutions for closed loop and automated recovery of networking failures and degradation. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of leading complex technical initiatives and addressing challenging network issues. Outstanding leadership and communication abilities, with a proven track record of effective collaboration and influence across diverse teams and stakeholders. Professional certifications in network systems domains (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) are a plus. Qualifications · Bachelor’s Degree Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $118,000 to $151,000.
