BE PART OF THE CONNECTION

You identify, forecast and implement resource requirements for client network systems. You drive the implementation process while monitoring protocols and compatibility standards. You collaborate with teams within an office and network lab environment traveling as needed. Depending on the business unit, you may be part of a 24/7/365 on-call environment.

WHAT OUR NETWORK ENGINEERS ENJOY MOST

Support engineering projects by participating in architecture design planning. Complete network configuration projects by integrating communication architecture, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links. Enhance the product base through product evaluations and network issue resolution. Maintain product and service quality by developing and documenting technical standards. Optimize existing networks by completing medium- to highly-complex projects and systems. Mitigate risks by complying with all industry-specific local, state and federal regulations.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM ENTERPRISE

Required Qualifications

Experience: Experience working with a data network. Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, a related field or equivalent experience. Technical Skills: Intermediate data network knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model and optical networking; Understanding of IEEE and ANSI standards; Familiar with fiber, multi-mode, single-mode, UTP, bridging, switching, routing, Ethernet and transport technologies and protocols; Knowledge of network design, devices, network appliances, network architecture, protocols and network topology; History of using Visio; Proficient in Microsoft Office.Skills: English communication skills.Abilities: Deadline-driven with the ability to learn new technologies and work in a fast-paced team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

CCNA or other industry-specific certifications. Knowledge of Spectrum Enterprise products and services.Intermediate to Expert knowledge in Fiber or Coax Transport protocols.Intermediate to Expert knowledge in key Enterprise areas such as MPLS Services, Internet Services, Managed Voice, Video and Data Services.Exhibit skills with documentation and technical writing.Ability to create and structure technical processes and procedures.Confident presenting technical material to leadership and others.Experience with teaching or mentoring others.Knowledge of Spectrum Enterprise products, services and culture.Client-focused mind set.
