Network Engineer III

Responsibilities What You'll Do: Responsible for the evaluation, operation, maintenance, security, and evolution of the global enterprise network environment. Develop network infrastructure roadmaps, conduct feasibility studies, and review proposals with peer IT groups. Identify, recommend and lead continuous network infrastructure improvement efforts. May be responsible for lower-level network engineers. Key Responsibilities: Engineer, design, and deploy highly available network services and solutions based on business, strategic, and technical requirements. Develop network infrastructure roadmaps, conduct feasibility studies, and review proposals with peer IT groups. Identify, recommend and lead continuous network infrastructure improvement efforts. Troubleshoot LAN/WAN issues. Research and solve complex problems regarding data communication failures. Secure, update, and patch network devices. Monitor network operation and implement/maintain monitoring tools. Establish and document standards, policies and procedures. Provide guidance and support to network engineering and IT support staff in remote locations. Performs other duties and assignments as required. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained. Experience: Minimum of six (6) years of related experience. Significant experience with Palo Alto firewalls. Extensive knowledge of Cisco route and switch hardware. Extensive experience with Cisco IOS, NX-OS. Experience implementing and maintaining ACLs/Segmentation/Security. Dynamic routing protocols. Wireless networking. Certifications/Licenses: Minimum of CCNA Other Requirements: US Citizenship Desired Qualifications Education: ITSM experience a plus. Experience with Cisco Meraki and Fortinet firewalls desired. Certifications/Licenses: Higher certifications than CCNA preferred. Skills and Technology Used Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving: Possesses critical thinking skills to synthesize scenarios and demonstrated analytic and business problem solving skills. Capable of using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Be able to identify complex problems and review relevant information to determine options and implement solutions. Business/IT Acumen: Strong organizational skills, and ability to lead projects with minimal supervision. Ability to manage outside service providers, consultants to accomplish defined projects. Customer service oriented, detail focused, pro-active behavior, multi-task capability. Business Partner/Effective Communication: Excellent communicator, both orally and in writing with the ability to exchange information and interface effectively. Able to work in a dynamic organization by balancing multiple priorities. Keen sense of prioritization and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, complex, and scaling environment. Collaboration and Teamwork/Influence: Able to work collaboratively in a team environment. Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others and retains constructive working relationships within the group. Global vision. Culturally sensitive. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be based on, but not limited to, their job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company’s base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company. USD $ 85,000 - 160,000 Provided salary range minimum and maximum values correspond to variances between regional/geographic locations across the United States.
