Network Engineer Manager

**Description**
We are currently seeking a Network Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers in the planning of network layouts, configuring and installing various network devices and services, ensuring network security, troubleshooting and resolving issues, and managing upgrades and optimizations. They must possess a mix of technical expertise in systems and protocols, analytical abilities to assess network performance, and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Plan, design, and develop robust, scalable, and secure network architecture
+ Lead the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links
+ Analyze and resolve complex network-related issues in a timely and accurate fashion
+ Develop and implement policies, procedures, and associated training for network resource administration, appropriate use, and disaster recovery
+ Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry
+ Oversee the administration of routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other network devices
+ Work with executive management to determine the networking requirements of the organization
+ Coordinate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
+ Mentor and lead a team of junior network engineers, providing guidance and direction
**Qualifications**
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:**
+ Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
+ A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a network engineering role, preferably in an enterprise setting
+ Extensive experience with modern technologies such as SD-WAN, Cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.), and virtualization technologies
+ Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
+ Proficient with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools
+ Solid understanding of security principles and technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, security audits)
+ Experience in managing and leading technical projects and teams
+ Exceptional problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
**Work Environment:**
+ This position may require on-call availability and occasional overtime
+ Participation in disaster recovery drills and activities
+ Some travel may be required for the purpose of off-site system maintenance and troubleshooting
**CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT:**
+ Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable
**CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:**
+ Must have an active SECRET clearance
