Kforce has a client in Englewood, CO that is looking for an experienced Network Engineer with expertise in DOCSIS and customer premises equipment (CPE) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and troubleshooting network devices, with the ability to pull logs and access device configurations. A solid understanding of CMTS, routing, switching, and various network protocols is essential for success in this role. Responsibilities: * Network Engineer will manage and maintain CPE devices, ensuring optimal performance and reliability * Pull logs and access devices for troubleshooting and performance monitoring * Work with DOCSIS and Optical Network Units (ONU), with flexibility on expertise in either area * Understand and configure CMTS systems, focusing on device connectivity and performance * Implement and manage routing and switching functions across the network * As a Network Engineer, you will utilize and configure network protocols such as OSPF, ISIS, BGP, IPv4, IPv6, and Multicast * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve network issues and optimize performance * Document network configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference
